“Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.” (Philippians 1:3-5)
We are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro, click here.
Let us pray for all our EFCC Districts:
Marvin Penner – APD Superintendent
In the Alberta Parkland District, several small churches are unable to support full-time pastors. Bon Accord Community Church is currently without a pastor, but was recently able to purchase the building they had been renting. Elk Point Christian Community meets in a converted fire hall and is considering a bi-vocational pastor. Fox Creek EFC, in a small, transient town, hasn’t had a pastor in years but remains faithful in worship and discipleship. Strathcona County EFC (aka – Cowboy Church) continues to bless many with country gospel music, solid teaching from a retired pastor, and regular outreach events. Pray for encouragement, wisdom, and God’s blessing on these churches as they serve faithfully.
Kelvin Luong – CD Co-Superintendent
Pray for Pastor Kelvin Fung and family at Compass community. Kelvin’s dad suffered multiple strokes recently while awaiting diagnosis of late-stage tumor in the pancreas. Pray that churches in search of lead pastors may take the time to reflect and realign their mission focus.
Dan Carlaw – CPD Superintendent
We are grateful for a very encouraging and well-attended CPD Conference, hosted by Broadview EFC in Salmon Arm, BC. Three of our district pastors shared messages from God’s word based on our theme, from 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Steadfast, Immovable, and Always Abounding.” Please pray for the beginnings of a Korean church plant in Prince George, BC. Pray for the planting couple Daniel and Yuna, and for our district coaches who are guiding and encouraging them in these early days.
George Budd – Interim PD Superintendent
Please pray for the Superintendent Search Committee as they find themselves starting from scratch again in their search for a superintendent for Prairie District.
