Although it can sometimes go faster, please plan for a minimum of one year from contact to departure. This allows time for you to go through the screening process and time to prepare you well before joining an active ServeBeyond ministry.
It is the desire of ServeBeyond, the international mission of the EFCC, to build & grow healthy churches internationally. Start by filling out our Preliminary Contact Form and we will be in touch to answer your questions and discuss how your gifts & abilities could be used.
Based on your interests & abilities, and your calling, the Manager of Personnel & Projects (MPP) will discuss potential ministry projects with you. You can explore some of our current Opportunities to Serve online.
The MPP will walk you through our application process involving an application, 3 references and a criminal record check. This is how we get to know you and your community’s support of you for this mission experience.
As we begin to get to know you better, we will invite you to join us and other applicants in our Home Office for a formal interview and several days of ServeBeyond Orientation.
Once we have agreed you fit with ServeBeyond, we will send you a letter inviting you to join the Mission. Then it’s your turn to send us a written reply accepting!
After being accepted to the mission, we will work with you to complete additional online training sessions, create an annual budget, and support you as you build a team of ministry partners who will support your work on the field.
Come on back to the Home Office for 3-4 days of in-person training prior to departure!
We’ll coach you on how to build your support team to ensure that your ministry is well funded. When necessary, we will recommend a school for language fluency. You will be commissioned by your sending church.
Your months of hard work and praying have been preparing you for relocation into your new field of service. Time to depart!
You will continue with ongoing language and culture learning, support from your Regional Coordinator, and connecting with us and debriefing on Home Assignment.
The EFCC wants to see you succeed in ministry! We therefore operate as fairly as possible by including allocation at a moderate level on all funds donated for ministry projects. This helps cover costs for the preparation, operation & direction of our entire Global Mission. Additional money is given through direct donations to the EFCC Operational Budget by individuals & churches. We expect all people who join a ministry opportunity with the EFCC will willingly & joyfully participate in the costs associated with their ministry. (Allocation is charged as a percentage of donations.)
