Al Bergsma believed strongly in the ongoing gospel mission of the EFCC, as an expression of the larger body of Jesus Christ. He was an active member of EFCC churches for 35 years, and also served on district boards. He served as the Planned Giving Coordinator for the EFCC.

After he passed away suddenly in 2015, Al’s wife and family approached the EFCC to establish a fund to support church planters , in his memory. The fund has recently been expanded to support college students enrolled in ministry training.

Why is This Fund Important?

Church planters and church leaders are spiritual trailblazers! We need to ensure that they are adequately equipped for their critical, challenging roles. This fund is set up to support church planters and future ministry leaders in Canada, and around the world.
