"Because people in need matter to God." As part of the ministry of the EFCC, benevolent financial assistance may sometimes be provided to individuals or families who are in a time of crisis or who are experiencing financial or material needs. This help could be for medical situations, to alleviate poverty, and to provide food and shelter and other basic needs.

ServeCanada and ServeBeyond, EFCC's two missional arms, exist to help our local EFCC churches extend their mission reach both locally and globally.

Let us continue Praying

Prayer is the lifeline of our church.

As we move into August, let’s maintain our commitment to pray for our leaders of tomorrow, our great nation, Canada, and all the various specific prayer requests shared in our July-August Prayer Guide. “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Ephesians 6:18 (NLT)

Reading Revelation Responsibly

Revelation is weird! Talk about Scripture with followers of Jesus today, and it won’t take long before you hear this sort of opinion. Missionaries in Canada, really?

A far more significant question is: Why??? Dan Byrne, who leads ministries like “Ottawa City Church Network” and “Ottawa Evangelism Partnership” as part of the EFCC ServeCanada initiatives, shares authentic experiences of working with marginalized individuals. He often encounters questions such as, “Am I important to you? or “Do you truly care?” Amidst frequently chaotic ministry environment, he provides insight into his purpose.
