Salt & Light

“You are the salt of the earth…You are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:13,14) A lot of things are kicking off this month. In our churches, fall ministries are kicking off. School is kicking off. For the sports fan, American football is kicking off. Most of us care about at least one of these things. Some of us care about all of them. This month, can we ask you to join us in praying that our EFCC people everywhere would lift each other up in the task of being salt and light in the midst of our workplaces.

2026 Post-Conference Report

This past June, the Evangelical Free Church of Canada gathered for its biennial conference at Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church. This was a celebration and homecoming for our church delegates who travelled from across Canada to join with their brothers and sisters in Christ! EFCC President Shaun Wick, gives a report on the 2026 Conference “In All Things: The Centrality of Jesus Christ.”

Global Week of Prayer

Tearfund Canada, which is the EFCC’s relief and development partner, is inviting us to join with hundreds of thousands of Christians around the world for the Tearfund Global Week of Prayer Sept. 6-13. EFCC churches are also invited to take part in a special day of prayer on Thursday, September 10. Together, we will pray for people around the world living in extreme poverty and facing injustice. ⁠A free prayer guide is available in the link below.
