Turkey-Syria Earthquake Relief

The massive earthquake that shook the nations of Turkey and Syria last February 6th, 2023 left in its wake unspeakable disaster and the loss of countless lives.

Sadly, thousands of people near the epicentre are suffering and mourning. The earthquakes near the cities of Gaziantep and Kahramanmaras caused widespread devastation. Transportation and infrastructure in several regions have been damaged or destroyed – this presents lingering risks to the most vulnerable people.

ServeBeyond is partnering with a Turkish Christian relief organisation called First Hope Association. First Hope is recognized by and registered with the Turkish Government. Pray for them as they work under very difficult and dangerous situations. This group is well known in the Turkish Christian community and is specifically trained and equipped for earthquake relief. First Hope is already on site and ministering to affected people with their mobile hygiene trailers, mobile bakeries and rescue equipment with specialised search & rescue teams.

Some churches across Turkey are sending 100% of their weekly offering to First Hope, who are on the ground actively working in Anatakya (Antioch and Adana – two very hard-hit areas of Turkey). We’re inviting you to join these Turkish churches and to financially support the work of this highly-trained and respected organisation.

We, at ServeBeyond and through First Hope Association, are appealing to you to partner with us to help the Turkey and Syrian earthquake relief efforts.
