Who We Are

The Evangelical Free Church of Canada (EFCC) is an association of close to 160 churches and church plants, numerous missionaries committed to Christ, a common Statement of Faith, a shared Character and Calling, and a commitment to the Word of God. This section is designed to help you understand the association of EFCC churches here in Canada. This includes the local ministries called ServeCanada and the international ministries arm called ServeBeyond.

The Evangelical Free Church of Canada is an association of autonomous churches united in a common commitment to God’s evangel – the gospel of Jesus Christ, who died and rose again to give us eternal life. To God’s glory, the gospel is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. Our essential theological convictions are vitally connected to this gospel.

We partner with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA – of which we were a part until 1984) and with more than thirty members of the International Federation of Free Evangelical Churches (IFFEC).
