Part 2 – The Joy of Confession

“Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Therefore, let all the godly pray to you while there is still time…” (taken from Psalm 32:1-6)

Let us pray for all our EFCC Leaders:

Shaun Wick – President

Pray for your fellow EFCC churches – that they would be strengthened in their faith. Pray for our missionaries as they faithfully serve around the world – for protection, support, and joy. Pray for those organizations with whom we have partnerships, such as the Evangelical Free Church of Lebanon, that we might be able to encourage and support them well. Pray that we would continue to grow as a movement of Free churches who love each other, embody Jesus, share the gospel, and make disciples!

Neil Bassingthwaighte – ServeCanada Director

Pray for good times of connection at LPD Conference and CVC Meetings. Pray for missionaries who are struggling with support levels and health issues. Pray for a deep, renewed sense of our need for God and his mercy as we move through the Lent season.

Dwight Johnson – Stewardship Catalyst

Praise for every donation that came in by the end of December, allowing us to nearly meet our building fund goal. Pray that the remaining balance of approximately $25,000 will soon be met.

Terry Kaufman – Leadership Catalyst

Please pray for our Growing Leaders ministry as we work to schedule more Leadership Training events, including both facilitators and participants, as well as some potential “hybrid” versions where I spend time individually with a church to help their leaders.

Williams Lake EFC

Williams Lake was blessed to send a team of 10 people to Gilgil, Kenya in early February to assist a missionary family with a building project. Please pray for this team as they return and process all that they have learned during this cross-cultural experience. Pray that their experience would be a blessing to this church family as they share what they have learned.

All the Nations EFC

We praise the Lord that All the Nations EFC is seeking approval for their charitable status. Pray for this church as they establish a board of directors and learn how to function as an independent body with responsibilities for their own management and budget.

Big River EFC

Pray for Big River EFC as they search for a new pastor.

Let us pray for all our ServeBeyond/ServeCanada Missionaries & Agents:

Dan Byrne – Ottawa Evangelism Partnership

Praise God for Spirit-led unity after the recent Connecting Streams retreat, and pray for wisdom as the ministry adds regional staff and re-envisions city ministry during this season of prayer and fasting. Pray for open doors in Ottawa among seniors, newcomers, and those in low-income housing – asking God to provide the right staff and funding. Lift up Dan and Jean for healing, clarity, and renewed vision for their house church network amid health challenges, and for discernment as Dan walks with a church-planting group facing leadership concerns—asking God for truth, repentance, and restoration. Finally, pray for Dan’s continued recovery, Jean’s spiritual, emotional, and physical renewal in ministry, their children’s faith, and sustainable financial support.

Helen Blackburn – Bolivia

Praise the Lord for His presence in my life! This year, I will retire from my work here in Bolivia. Please pray for the completion of the sale of my house and property, as this will not be completed until the final papers are signed by Hans Byren, who sold me the land. I am not Bolivian and cannot “own” Property unless it is in the city. Please continue to pray for El Candelero Kids and Heather, our national workers, the Boys’ Home, Support Centre and my English classes. May our outreach be blessed by God.

Sammy Kabyemera – Uganda

Praise that the Team is faithfully making disciples, and that many who believed during the last mission trip have now been baptized. The bicycles given to two pastors are strengthening their outreach and ministry. Please pray for Sammy’s preparation for the next mission to Uganda’s refugee camps and schools—equipping believers, distributing Bibles, providing bicycles, developing discipleship resources, and planting a church. Pray also for faithful prayer partners and supporters.

Stephen & Jane Wheeler – Montréal

Please pray for the March 20-21st training for users of The Journey that Jane and I will be helping to teach. Please pray for journey mercies and fruitful interactions with people during our upcoming month of travel.

Robert & Leslee Oudman – Nicaragua

Please pray for clarity as we review the work and statistics of the past year. Pray we are effective with the resources God provides and that we make decisions according to His will, decisions that will please the Lord and expand His kingdom. Pray that following a series of pastoral training workshops in February, the pastors and I will know how to best grow the church, his body of believers, in rural Nicaragua.

Siavosh & Sophia – Ontario

Please pray for Iranians who have lost their loved ones. For Christians in Iran to be a light amid darkness. For God to choose the best leader or Government for the future of Iran. Please pray for people who have experienced abuse and harm in Iran.

Joy – Creative Access Country

Please pray for the upcoming Easter fundraiser in March to help the poor people in Egypt. This fundraiser is harder than usual because of the rising prices in Egypt. Please pray for the people affected by the bad economy in Egypt.

Scott & Karen Wind Vandenberg – Mexico

Please pray for the residents and staff of El Buen Samaritano Seniors Home. Ask God to grant strength, patience, and compassion to caregivers, and comfort, dignity, and peace to each resident. Pray for good health, emotional encouragement, and meaningful connections in daily life. May this home be filled with Christ’s presence, protection, and practical provision for every need.

Children’s Shelter of Cebu

A newborn baby named Catherine was referred to the Shelter. Pray with us that we can be used by God to share His love with this precious child and care for her in a way that honours and glorifies Him! Please pray for two more newborn babies who have been referred to CSC. They were abandoned, left with their umbilical cords still attached, by City Hall and the local Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Evangelical Theological College of the Philippines

Pray for the graduation ceremonies of elementary, junior high and college students. For President Gabutan, as he speaks. For more enrollees for academic year 26-27; for incoming freshmen; for more library books and materials, and for building repairs.

Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines

Pray for President Ariel Jornales and his leadership.
