As part of the ministry of the EFCC, benevolent financial assistance may sometimes be provided to individuals or families who are in a time of crisis or who are experiencing financial or material needs. The Love Month

It’s February, and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. One of the most quoted passages of Scripture around this time is 1 Corinthians 13 – the Love Chapter. But that particular portion of Scripture, when read in context, has very little to do with our notions of romantic love. Instead, it is a call to a church in the midst of conflict, to stay connected and committed to each other. We’re inviting us to do the same for our Free Church family.

Missionaries in Canada, really?

A far more significant question is: Why??? Dan Byrne, who leads ministries like “Ottawa City Church Network” and “Ottawa Evangelism Partnership” as part of the EFCC ServeCanada initiatives, shares authentic experiences of working with marginalized individuals. He often encounters questions such as, “Am I important to you? or “Do you truly care?” Amidst frequently chaotic ministry environment, he provides insight into his purpose.

efcc ministry orientation

Ministry Orientation

Are you currently in ministry, or are you planning to be in one? The EFCC Ministry Orientation is scheduled for May. Part of this orientation is to learn more about the EFCC’s Historical Heritage, our Character and Calling, Congregationalism, our Statement of Faith, Covenant of Ethics and Ministerial Accreditation, Church Boards and Teams, and the Ministries of the EFCC, including ServeBeyond/ServeCanada and the Districts of Canada, where our 140-plus churches continue to minister to their local communities.

conflict resolution training

Conflict Resolution Training

Conflict is often the most misunderstood aspect of human relationships – and yet it is so common. In conjunction with the Transitional Leadership Network, we are offering a one-day Conflict Resolution Training. The speaker is Darrin Hotte, who, with 35 years of leadership experience, specializes in conflict resolution. It is scheduled for May 15, 2026 (right after the EFCC Ministry Orientation) and will be held at the Robert G. Kuhn building on the TWU Campus.
