EFCC May Prayer Guide

“Jesus said, This is how you should pray: Father, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. Give us each day the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation. ” (Luke 11:2-4 NLT)

We are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro, click here.

Confession

May your Kingdom come…forgive us our sins.

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” (James 5:16)

The human condition of alienation from God and his ways has led to all kinds of suffering in our world. Here are some ways that we can both confess our won shortfalls and pray into the Kingdom of God coming on earth as it is in heaven.

Reflection

This month, let’s take stock of our lives, be grateful for forgiveness, and come to God in confession.

Ukraine

Let’s continue to uphold our brothers and sisters who are suffering in the midst of war. Pray that God’s justice and peace would come to this country.

TearFund Canada

The EFCC’s official relief and development partner is TearFund Canada. They are partnering with local churches to bring a holistic gospel presence into a number of developing countries.

Iran

Many of us are deeply troubled by the war that is going on in Iran. Pray for our brothers and sisters who have faced both persecution for their faith and now imminent bloodshed and terror. The fastest growing segment of the church exists in Iran. Pray that this country would experience God’s gift of peace.

Free Church of Lebanon Partnership

The EFCC has a partnership with the Free Church in Lebanon which is able to reach into several Islamic countries in ways that most of us in the west are incapable of doing. Pray for the leaders of FEAL (Free Evangelical Association of Lebanon) Joseph Najem and Daniel Saab, as they spread the Good News of Jesus in these days of turmoil and conflict.
