The EFCC is committed to church planting and church multiplication across Canada and the rest of the globe. We want to see a movement of God where Great Commission churches are fulfilling the call to make disciples who make more disciples.
So, we are looking for qualified and called church planters and church planting leaders who live and breathe disciple-making through launching new churches.
If your heart beats for God’s work of church multiplication like ours, then you are encouraged to go with us on a journey of discovering God’s will for church planting in the EFCC.
Below, we’ve posted the first steps to learning more about what that journey might look like with the EFCC.

CHURCH PLANTING PATHWAY
STEP 1 – DISCERNING IF GOD IS CALLING YOU TO PLANT A CHURCH
Here are some things that can help you discern if God is calling you to plant a church:
- Pray for discernment
- Read some good books on church planting:
- Planting Missional Churches – Ed Stetzer & Daniel Im
- Nuts and Bolts of Church Planting – Aubrey Malphurs
- Global Church Planting: Biblical Principles and Best Practices for Multiplication – Craig Ott & Gene Wilson
- Talk with church planters about their church planting experiences
- Serve and grow your gifts in an existing church plant
STEP 2 – DISCERNING IF GOD IS CALLING YOU TO PLANT A CHURCH WITH THE EFCC
If you feel that God is continuing to call you deeper into the church planting journey and you are interested in how to begin doing that with the EFCC, we would invite you to begin an assessment process with us. This is a district-based journey to help you discern God’s will for you as a lead church planter within the EFCC. A team of godly people will help you assess how well your conversion, call, character and competencies are suited for church planting.
To begin this part of your church planting journey please contact the District Superintendent in your area of Canada:
- Lower Pacific District (Vancouver Island and BC lower mainland)
- Canadian Pacific District (BC Interior and Yukon)
- Alberta Parkland District (northern Alberta)
- Prairie District (southern Alberta and Saskatchewan)
- Central District (Manitoba and Ontario)
