SUMMARY:Part 3 - Praying the Lord's Prayer
DESCRIPTION:“Jesus said\, This is how you should pray: Father\, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. Give us each day the food we need\, and forgive us our sins\, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation. ” (Luke 11:2-4 NLT) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \n\nRequests\nGive us each day the food we need. \n“Tell God what you need\, and thank Him for all he has done.” (Philippians 4:6) \n\nEFCC Conference \nAs we prepare to gather together as the Free Church family next month\, let’s spend time aligning our hearts with God’s\, and desiring what he wants for our Free Church association. Pray that this will be a time of refreshment and renewal for all who come. Please also pray for our speaker\, Matthew St. John\, as he leads the main sessions\, and for all our workshop speakers\, as well as the business session. \n\nChurches without Pastors \nAcross the EFCC\, there are many churches without pastors. Let us pray that these churches find pastors that the Lord can use to shepherd their flock for His glory and their good. \n\nEvangelical Free Church of the Philippines \nPray for the preparations being made for the upcoming National Annual Conference. This will be held on May 12-15\, 2026 in Tacloban City\, Leyte. We have more delegates registered than ever before. Pray for the 1 million pesos that the leaders need to raise to cover the subsidy for the delegates who are in need of help. Pray for the powerful demonstration of God’s presence through the messages and speakers. Pray God will use Rev. Kevin Kompelien\, the main speaker\, and other servants of God who will deliver God’s message. Pray for the completion of Vision 200 by 2026. This is to plant 200 churches in four years. We need to have 50 more to complete the vision. The stats are not as important as the community of believers worshipping our God and making disciples behind the numbers. Pray God will raise godly leaders who will set good examples for EFCP constituents. \n\nMental Health Awareness \nPray for the health of those in the EFCC family. Pray that God would grow them spiritually. Pray too for the mental health of our EFCC family members. We live in a world that can eat away at our mental health quite quickly. Pray for those who are struggling with their physical and mental health.

Pray for safety for our team as we are out and about on the roads each day\, exposed to risk of accident\, extortion\, and extreme climate conditions. It’s planting time in Nicaragua! As the rural communities prepare the ground and await the rains\, pray that our faithful God is apparent to them as the season begins. Pray that the Lord would provide all that is needed to realize an abundant harvest! \n\nJoy – Creative Access Country \nPlease pray for my next trip to Egypt. SUMMARY:Part 4 - Praying for the Leaders of Tomorrow
DESCRIPTION:“The harvest is great\, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” (Luke 10:2) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \nLet us pray for all our ServeBeyond/ServeCanada Missionaries:\nOlivier Niyongabire – Global Outreach Evangelism School (G.O.E.S) \nPraise our Lord Jesus. I am thankful for what God has done in our ministry over the past month. We had our training\, and 96 disciple-makers attended and were trained in Gospel evangelism and winning people to Christ. This led them to reach out to new communities\, and we are hopeful that many souls will be saved and brought to the kingdom of God through these men and women of God. Secondly\, I am happy to share that during our outreach in homes that the Gospel has not reached\, 361 people gave their lives to Christ\, and among these were 98 Muslim people who denounced their faith and turned to Jesus. This was the peak of our ministry last month. However\, we want to ask you to join us as we pray for both DRC and Uganda\, where the outbreak of Ebola is growing strong\, and this is where our ministry is based. Pray that the spread can stop and also that the sick be saved so that we can resume normal ministry. \n\nStephen & Jane Wheeler – Montréal \nWe continue as “Post Retirement Staff” with EFCA ReachGlobal. After 37 years in Canada and needing a warmer climate for health reasons\, we’ll be moving south. Beginning with the pandemic\, much of our ministry has been online\, and those works will continue. Pray for our move to Tennessee\, where we’ll be closer to family. Pray also for our continued ministry in Canada and all of North America. \n\nSammy Kabyemera – Uganda \nPlease pray for the Democratic Republic of Congo\, where many Kyaka refugees come from\, as Ebola continues to claim lives and no cure is yet found. Pray for God’s mercy\, protection\, and healing over the refugee camps. Ask the Lord to strengthen our field team for fruitful discipleship and spiritual growth. Pray also for provision and blessing for Sammy’s mission trip in November this year. \n\nJoy – Creative Access Country \nPlease pray for the fundraising I am doing for Egypt. It is for needed school supplies that I plan on handing out in August. Please pray for the poor families in Egypt who are suffering a lot. \n\nHelen Blackburn – Bolivia \nI praise the Lord for the many years He has given me on the foreign mission field. I first left Canada in 1975. I will miss them all out in Bolivia! My retirement from the EFCC became official at the end of June. Thank you for your many prayers and support. \n\nJon and Laura Prins – Japan \nPray for our summer English VBS July 18-24. We have a team coming to help in four churches and a camp. Our landlord has announced that he will not be renewing our lease when it expires in 3 years from now. Pray for wisdom. We need a Japanese pastor and a full-time English pastor\, but we don’t have the finances for a salary. We have a full-time Mandarin Chinese pastor and a Cantonese worker. Pray for a team that can work together well. \n\nScott & Karen Wind Vandenberg – Mexico \nPlease pray for the residents and staff of El Buen Samaritano Seniors Home. Ask God to grant strength\, patience\, and compassion to caregivers\, and comfort\, dignity\, and peace to each resident. Pray for good health\, emotional encouragement\, and meaningful connection in daily life. May this home be filled with Christ’s presence\, protection\, and practical provision for every need. \n\nCanada Day Emphasis\nPlease pray for Canada! Let’s thank God for the great country that we are privileged to be a part of. Let’s pray for our leaders\, in all areas of government (national\, provincial\, civic\, etc) that God would grant them wisdom to lead us well.

SUMMARY:Part 4 - Salt & Light
DESCRIPTION:“You are the salt of the earth…You are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:13\,14) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \nLet us pray for all our ServeBeyond/ServeCanada Missionaries:\nOlivier Niyongabire – Global Outreach Evangelism Strategies (G.O.E.S) \nDear friends and ministry partners\, praise the Lord Jesus Christ for His love and grace upon us all. I want to thank everyone who has been praying for the ministry. God has surely answered prayers\, and we have seen a harvest of 134 people who came to Christ in the last outreach. We now again invite you to pray with us for two things: one is our upcoming training of disciple makers and the outreach that will follow in the refugee camp of Kyaka in Uganda; also\, we are trusting God to raise more donors for the ministry because we do not have enough donations to cover our Ministry. \n\nScott & Karen Wind Vandenberg – Mexico \nPlease pray for Buen Samaritano as we face a significant financial need. Our available funds have been depleted\, and at this point we do not have enough to send the full amount needed to pay our faithful staff who care for the residents each day. We are deeply grateful for their commitment. Please pray for God’s provision\, trusting with us that He knows the need and will provide in His way and timing. \n\nRobert & Leslee Oudman – Nicaragua \nWe’ve had a few reminders lately about the risks and challenges of navigating the roads in Nicaragua. Please pray for safety for all of us as we mobilize to share the Good News in so many places. Thank God for his protection each and every day! \n\nStephen & Jane Wheeler – Montréal \nPlease pray for the upcoming online trainings for users of The Journey\, a lingo-free walk through the Bible and encounter with the Gospel message. Praise for our safe move to Nashville. Pray as we settle in and continue ministry online in Montreal and elsewhere in North America. \n\nSammy Kabyemera – Uganda \nPlease pray for Sammy as he prepares for the Uganda mission trip at the end of September\, that many people will hear God’s Word\, receive salvation\, and grow in faith. Pray for financial provision for the ministry\, for discipleship training for churches and leaders\, and for opportunities to reach Muslim communities and students in schools. Pray also for refugees to receive food and the hope of the Gospel\, and for orphans to be provided with clothing and care. Finally\, pray for healing\, strength\, and comfort for those affected by Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. \n\nJoy – Creative Access Country \nPlease pray as we fundraise for school supplies that end on September 26. Pray for the people in Egypt\, as the situation is really hard. \n\nSiavosh & Sophia – Ontario \nWe have a group of Iranian people ready for baptism. Pray as we run a final teaching seminar before their baptism and do this blessed service for them. Please pray for us as we prepare. \n\nL & D – Creative Access Country \nPlease pray for more funding for our ministry\, as we need more funding in order to keep supporting our ministry. Pray that God would provide either a church or a person to donate regularly. Pray for the growth of our Chinese Ministry; specifically\, the discipleship program that has the potential to really strengthen their spiritual life. We are planning to also reach out to the local Japanese. Pray that more Japanese moms and kids will come to our MomCo ministry\, and for the start of this new ministry to reach Japanese.

SUMMARY:Part 4 - Together
DESCRIPTION:“Together\, we are his house\, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. We are carefully joined together in him\, becoming a holy temple for the Lord.” (Ephesians 2:20-21) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \nLet us pray for all our ServeBeyond/ServeCanada Missionaries:\nSammy Kabyemera – Uganda\nAs Sammy prepares to leave for Uganda in October to serve in mission work\, please pray for safety and good health; pray that many people will hear God’s Word\, open their hearts\, and receive salvation. Pray for faithful donors to help support the ministry. Pray that refugee families find hope; pray that church leaders accept the true doctrine of the Bible and focus on discipleship. Also\, pray that Muslim communities will encounter Christ and respond to the Gospel. \n\nScott & Karen Wind Vandenberg – Mexico\nPlease pray for Buen Samaritano as we face a significant financial need. Our available funds have been depleted\, and at this point we do not have enough to send the full amount needed to pay our faithful staff who care for the residents each day. We are deeply grateful for their commitment. Please pray for God’s provision\, trusting with us that He knows the need and will provide in His way and timing. \n\nStephen & Jane Wheeler – Montréal\nPray for alertness to new outreach opportunities in Nashville while we continue existing Canadian ministries online and by telephone. Pray for what seems like an endless string of administrative tasks related to our move from Montreal to Nashville. \n\nEFCP: Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines\nContinue to pray for President Samuel Aberia as he guides and coordinates the work of the 170 Free Churches in seven different regions. Pray for more workers to lead the several new church plants. \n\nJoy – Creative Access Country\nPraise the Lord for the fundraising for the school supplies for Egypt; I reached my goal. Please pray for the Christmas fundraising that I will start in October as the need is big. And please keep praying for the poor people in Egypt. \n\nLina and David Cheng – Japan\nPlease pray the Lord would provide for our Ministry Expense Fund in Japan. Pray the Lord brings more new moms and children to join the two events (for kids and moms) in October. May the Lord bless the three events and activities to reach out to the Chinese students and young people in Tokyo\, Japan. \n\nRobert & Leslee Oudman – Nicaragua\nAgriculture is a major force in the local economy. Pray with us for the growing season. Pray for sufficient rains and a bountiful harvest and that the Lord of the harvest be praised! Pray for our interactions with the Nicaraguan authorities – that we honour God in all we do and that people would see God through each one of our actions. \n\nJulsain Blanc – Haiti\nPray for an increase in members in the Montreal Church and wisdom and revelation to preach God’s word. And pray for mission field work in Haiti\, where we need financial support to feed the orphans every month\, and to complete the project of complex building construction. The purpose of the building is to: train new pastors and local pastors\, a library center for students\, for distributing food\, water\, and clothing\, a conference center\, and a guesthouse for missionaries. We have already completed 30% of the construction. This project is located in Cap-Haïtien\, on the north side of Haiti. Now\, we are in the process to raise funds to complete this project for Haitian churches. Pray for God to open the hearts of friends and churches to give to this cause. \n\nDan Byrne – Ottawa Evangelism Partnership\nPlease pray for Noemi and Keiden as they return to school\, and for Aiko as she considers her next steps after graduating from Concordia. Connecting Streams is seeking a new National Director\, and Dan is helping navigate interim leadership. Please pray also for expanding refugee and inner-city ministry opportunities with churches\, and for Dan as he speaks at an EFCC missions festival in Thunder Bay at the end of October. \n\nChildren’s Shelter of Cebu\nPray for protection from wildfire smoke dritiing in from Borneo\, that as it spreads over Cebu our children will be protected. For some time the mayor of Cebu had to close all the schools. The shelter also had to be shut down and children were required to wear masks. Pray that the children and staff will suffer no side effects from the smoke. \n\nArvid Olson – EFCC ServeBeyond Ambassador to the Philippines\nThanks to all of you who prayed for my recovery from the 7 weeks spent in the hospital because of a fractured pelvis. Recovery is a long road and sometimes painful process so your prayers are much appreciated. Pray for my wife Ruth also as this can be a very difficult time for her as well. \n\nEvangelical Theological College of the Philippines\nContinue to pray for the President and his team\, as they seek to develop new programs that will prepare students for ministry in the Free Church in the Philippines. Pray that the original ETCP motto will continue to give direction to future developments. The vision to see. Faith to believe. Courage to do.
