I want to thank everyone who has been praying for the ministry. God has surely answered prayers\, and we have seen a harvest of 134 people who came to Christ in the last outreach. We now again invite you to pray with us for two things: one is our upcoming training of disciple makers and the outreach that will follow in the refugee camp of Kyaka in Uganda; also\, we are trusting God to raise more donors for the ministry because we do not have enough donations to cover our Ministry. \n\nScott & Karen Wind Vandenberg – Mexico \nPlease pray for Buen Samaritano as we face a significant financial need. Our available funds have been depleted\, and at this point we do not have enough to send the full amount needed to pay our faithful staff who care for the residents each day. We are deeply grateful for their commitment. Please pray for God’s provision\, trusting with us that He knows the need and will provide in His way and timing. \n\nRobert & Leslee Oudman – Nicaragua \nWe’ve had a few reminders lately about the risks and challenges of navigating the roads in Nicaragua. Please pray for safety for all of us as we mobilize to share the Good News in so many places. Thank God for his protection each and every day! \n\nStephen & Jane Wheeler – Montréal \nPlease pray for the upcoming online trainings for users of The Journey\, a lingo-free walk through the Bible and encounter with the Gospel message. Praise for our safe move to Nashville. Pray as we settle in and continue ministry online in Montreal and elsewhere in North America. \n\nSammy Kabyemera – Uganda \nPlease pray for Sammy as he prepares for the Uganda mission trip at the end of September\, that many people will hear God’s Word\, receive salvation\, and grow in faith. Pray for financial provision for the ministry\, for discipleship training for churches and leaders\, and for opportunities to reach Muslim communities and students in schools. Pray also for refugees to receive food and the hope of the Gospel\, and for orphans to be provided with clothing and care. Finally\, pray for healing\, strength\, and comfort for those affected by Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. \n\nJoy – Creative Access Country \nPlease pray as we fundraise for school supplies that end on September 26. Pray for the people in Egypt\, as the situation is really hard. \n\nSiavosh & Sophia – Ontario \nWe have a group of Iranian people ready for baptism. Pray as we run a final teaching seminar before their baptism and do this blessed service for them. Please pray for the Christmas fundraising that I will start in October as the need is big. And please keep praying for the poor people in Egypt. \n\nLina and David Cheng – Japan\nPlease pray the Lord would provide for our Ministry Expense Fund in Japan. Pray the Lord brings more new moms and children to join the two events (for kids and moms) in October. May the Lord bless the three events and activities to reach out to the Chinese students and young people in Tokyo\, Japan. \n\nRobert & Leslee Oudman – Nicaragua\nAgriculture is a major force in the local economy. Pray with us for the growing season. Pray for sufficient rains and a bountiful harvest and that the Lord of the harvest be praised! Pray for our interactions with the Nicaraguan authorities – that we honour God in all we do and that people would see God through each one of our actions. \n\nJulsain Blanc – Haiti\nPray for an increase in members in the Montreal Church and wisdom and revelation to preach God’s word. And pray for mission field work in Haiti\, where we need financial support to feed the orphans every month\, and to complete the project of complex building construction. The purpose of the building is to: train new pastors and local pastors\, a library center for students\, for distributing food\, water\, and clothing\, a conference center\, and a guesthouse for missionaries. We have already completed 30% of the construction. This project is located in Cap-Haïtien\, on the north side of Haiti. Now\, we are in the process to raise funds to complete this project for Haitian churches. Pray for God to open the hearts of friends and churches to give to this cause. \n\nDan Byrne – Ottawa Evangelism Partnership\nPlease pray for Noemi and Keiden as they return to school\, and for Aiko as she considers her next steps after graduating from Concordia. Connecting Streams is seeking a new National Director\, and Dan is helping navigate interim leadership. Please pray also for expanding refugee and inner-city ministry opportunities with churches\, and for Dan as he speaks at an EFCC missions festival in Thunder Bay at the end of October. \n\nChildren’s Shelter of Cebu\nPray for protection from wildfire smoke dritiing in from Borneo\, that as it spreads over Cebu our children will be protected. For some time the mayor of Cebu had to close all the schools. The shelter also had to be shut down and children were required to wear masks. Pray that the children and staff will suffer no side effects from the smoke. \n\nArvid Olson – EFCC ServeBeyond Ambassador to the Philippines\nThanks to all of you who prayed for my recovery from the 7 weeks spent in the hospital because of a fractured pelvis. Recovery is a long road and sometimes painful process so your prayers are much appreciated.
