SUMMARY:Part 1 - Praying the Lord's Prayer
DESCRIPTION:“Jesus said\, This is how you should pray: Father\, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. Give us each day the food we need\, and forgive us our sins\, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation. ” (Luke 11:2-4 NLT) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \n\nAdoration\nFather\, may your name be kept holy. \n“Holy\, holy\, holy\, is the Lord God Almighty. The whole earth is filled with his glory!” (Isaiah 6:3) \nAs we contemplate the holiness of God this month\, let’s take some time to praise and thank him for who he is and what he does. As we engage with God’s greatness and glory\, here are a few things we can be grateful for and pray about within the EFCC. \n\nThe Character of God \nWe are in awe of the goodness\, greatness\, faithfulness\, and lovingkindness of our God. Take some time to praise him this month \n\nOur local EFCC Churches \nWe all belong to local bodies that help to grow and nurture us. Let’s thank God for our brothers and sisters who fellowship with us and pray that the glory of God would flow out of our churches and into our world. \n\nEFCC President Shaun Wick \nLet’s take time to thank God for the gift that Shaun is to our Free Church family. Continue to pray for him and his team at the EFCC Home Office. \n\nMissionaries \nThe EFCC has numerous missionaries and projects\, both here in Canada and around the world\, that we can be grateful for\, and uphold in prayer. \n\nPartnerships with Bible Colleges \nPrairie College and Steinbach Bible College are two schools that are working in partnership with the EFCC to help grow our pipeline of leaders for the future. \n\nCAF Chaplains \nWe are deeply grateful that God has called people from within the EFCC to serve him with our Canadian Armed Forces. Continue to uphold Chris Willis (Kingston)\, Peter Han (Esquimalt)\, and Phil Sung (Halifax)\, as they carry out this unique ministry. \nChurch Plants/Planters \nWe are deeply grateful for the gift of new life\, and new churches. \n\nAll The Nations (Wembley) – Dwight Munn\nIranian Church of Newmarket   – Siavosh\nJust Church (Scarborough) – Tim Quek\nSonflower (Burnaby) – David Hong\nWayside Crossing (Osoyoos) – Dan Williams\nMonterey Park (Calgary) – Amir Younas\nCompass Community (Scarborough) – Kelvin Fung\n\n\nDistrict Superintendents \nEvery one of our EFCC Districts is served by godly and gifted men who deeply desire to see our EFCC churches to be healthy and thriving. \n\nDan Carlaw – Canadian Pacific District\nMarvin Penner – Alberta Parkland District\nRichard Gilbert – Central District\nGeorge Budd (Interim) – Prairie District\nTim Stewart (Incoming) – Prairie District\nEvans Hundermark – Lower Pacific District

SUMMARY:Part 2 - Praying the Lord's Prayer
DESCRIPTION:“Jesus said\, This is how you should pray: Father\, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. Give us each day the food we need\, and forgive us our sins\, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation. ” (Luke 11:2-4 NLT) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \n\nConfession\nMay your Kingdom come…forgive us our sins. \n“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” (James 5:16) \nThe human condition of alienation from God and his ways has led to all kinds of suffering in our world. Here are some ways that we can both confess our won shortfalls and pray into the Kingdom of God coming on earth as it is in heaven. \n\nReflection \nThis month\, let’s take stock of our lives\, be grateful for forgiveness\, and come to God in confession. \n\nUkraine \nLet’s continue to uphold our brothers and sisters who are suffering in the midst of war. Pray that God’s justice and peace would come to this country. \n\nTearFund Canada \nThe EFCC’s official relief and development partner is TearFund Canada. They are partnering with local churches to bring a holistic gospel presence into a number of developing countries. \n\nIran \nMany of us are deeply troubled by the war that is going on in Iran. Pray for our brothers and sisters who have faced both persecution for their faith and now imminent bloodshed and terror. The fastest growing segment of the church exists in Iran. Pray that this country would experience God’s gift of peace. \n\nFree Church of Lebanon Partnership \nThe EFCC has a partnership with the Free Church in Lebanon which is able to reach into several Islamic countries in ways that most of us in the west are incapable of doing. Pray for the leaders of FEAL (Free Evangelical Association of Lebanon) Joseph Najem and Daniel Saab\, as they spread the Good News of Jesus in these days of turmoil and conflict.

SUMMARY:Part 3 - Praying the Lord's Prayer
DESCRIPTION:“Jesus said\, This is how you should pray: Father\, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. Give us each day the food we need\, and forgive us our sins\, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation. ” (Luke 11:2-4 NLT) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \n\nRequests\nGive us each day the food we need. \n“Tell God what you need\, and thank Him for all he has done.” (Philippians 4:6) \n\nEFCC Conference \nAs we prepare to gather together as the Free Church family next month\, let’s spend time aligning our hearts with God’s\, and desiring what he wants for our Free Church association. Pray that this will be a time of refreshment and renewal for all who come. Please also pray for our speaker\, Matthew St. John\, as he leads the main sessions\, and for all our workshop speakers\, as well as the business session. \n\nChurches without Pastors \nAcross the EFCC\, there are many churches without pastors. Let us pray that these churches find pastors that the Lord can use to shepherd their flock for His glory and their good. \n\nEvangelical Free Church of the Philippines \nPray for the preparations being made for the upcoming National Annual Conference. This will be held on May 12-15\, 2026 in Tacloban City\, Leyte. We have more delegates registered than ever before. Pray for the 1 million pesos that the leaders need to raise to cover the subsidy for the delegates who are in need of help. Pray for the powerful demonstration of God’s presence through the messages and speakers. Pray God will use Rev. Kevin Kompelien\, the main speaker\, and other servants of God who will deliver God’s message. Pray for the completion of Vision 200 by 2026. This is to plant 200 churches in four years. We need to have 50 more to complete the vision. The stats are not as important as the community of believers worshipping our God and making disciples behind the numbers. Pray God will raise godly leaders who will set good examples for EFCP constituents. \n\nMental Health Awareness \nPray for the health of those in the EFCC family. Pray that God would grow them spiritually. Pray too for the mental health of our EFCC family members. We live in a world that can eat away at our mental health quite quickly. Pray for those who are struggling with their physical and mental health.

Pray for Heather and our national workers for the Boys Home and the Support Centre. Pray for my preparations and my visits to Ashcroft\, B.C.\, on June 7\, and my attendance at the EFCC Conference in Winnipeg. Pray also for the opportunity to visit supporters\, as I am now retired. Big thanks to all of you! \n\nSammy Kabyemera – Uganda \nPraise God for His protection throughout the mission journey in May\, which was successful as many people received Jesus\, lives were restored\, refugees received food\, and orphans were given clothes. New believers got new Bibles. Please pray for those converted from Islamic communities to remain strong in their faith. Also\, pray and support the upcoming mission trip in November\, that God will provide every need. \n\nStephen & Jane Wheeler – Montréal \nWe continue as “Post Retirement Staff” with EFCA ReachGlobal. After 37 years in Canada and needing a warmer climate for health reasons\, we’ll be moving south. Beginning with the pandemic\, much of our ministry has been online\, and those works will continue. Pray for our preparation for the move to Tennessee\, where we’ll be closer to family. Pray also for our continued ministry in Canada and all of North America. \n\nRobert & Leslee Oudman – Nicaragua \nThanks for those who prayed with us for the safe resolution of a difficult situation for one of our Nicaraguan staff. We thank God that Jose David is reunited with his family and that God sustained him during this difficult time. Pray for safety for our team as we are out and about on the roads each day\, exposed to risk of accident\, extortion\, and extreme climate conditions. It’s planting time in Nicaragua! As the rural communities prepare the ground and await the rains\, pray that our faithful God is apparent to them as the season begins. Pray that the Lord would provide all that is needed to realize an abundant harvest! \n\nJoy – Creative Access Country \nPlease pray for my next trip to Egypt. Please pray with me for the Lord’s guidance as to when I should go next. Please pray for the fundraising for school supplies in August. And as always\, please pray for the poor people in Egypt. \n\nJonathan & Ashleigh Declet – Montréal\nPray that Jonathan finds continued opportunities to build bridges with individuals and churches\, inviting others to partner with us in Montréal through prayer\, support\, and service…both across Canada and all throughout North America. Pray that our kids finish the school year well and find meaningful summer jobs. \n\nScott & Karen Wind Vandenberg – Mexico \nPlease pray for the residents and staff of El Buen Samaritano Seniors Home. DESCRIPTION:“The harvest is great\, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” (Luke 10:2) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \nLet us pray for all our ServeBeyond/ServeCanada Missionaries:\nOlivier Niyongabire – Global Outreach Evangelism School (G.O.E.S) \nPraise our Lord Jesus. I am thankful for what God has done in our ministry over the past month. We had our training\, and 96 disciple-makers attended and were trained in Gospel evangelism and winning people to Christ. This led them to reach out to new communities\, and we are hopeful that many souls will be saved and brought to the kingdom of God through these men and women of God. Secondly\, I am happy to share that during our outreach in homes that the Gospel has not reached\, 361 people gave their lives to Christ\, and among these were 98 Muslim people who denounced their faith and turned to Jesus. This was the peak of our ministry last month. However\, we want to ask you to join us as we pray for both DRC and Uganda\, where the outbreak of Ebola is growing strong\, and this is where our ministry is based. Pray that the spread can stop and also that the sick be saved so that we can resume normal ministry. Pray for our move to Tennessee\, where we’ll be closer to family. Pray also for our continued ministry in Canada and all of North America. \n\nSammy Kabyemera – Uganda \nPlease pray for the Democratic Republic of Congo\, where many Kyaka refugees come from\, as Ebola continues to claim lives and no cure is yet found. Pray for God’s mercy\, protection\, and healing over the refugee camps. Ask the Lord to strengthen our field team for fruitful discipleship and spiritual growth. Pray also for provision and blessing for Sammy’s mission trip in November this year. \n\nJoy – Creative Access Country \nPlease pray for the fundraising I am doing for Egypt. It is for needed school supplies that I plan on handing out in August. Please pray for the poor families in Egypt who are suffering a lot. \n\nHelen Blackburn – Bolivia \nI praise the Lord for the many years He has given me on the foreign mission field. I first left Canada in 1975. I will miss them all out in Bolivia! My retirement from the EFCC became official at the end of June. Thank you for your many prayers and support. \n\nJon and Laura Prins – Japan \nPray for our summer English VBS July 18-24. We have a team coming to help in four churches and a camp. Our landlord has announced that he will not be renewing our lease when it expires in 3 years from now. Pray for wisdom. We need a Japanese pastor and a full-time English pastor\, but we don’t have the finances for a salary. We have a full-time Mandarin Chinese pastor and a Cantonese worker. Pray for a team that can work together well. \n\nScott & Karen Wind Vandenberg – Mexico \nPlease pray for the residents and staff of El Buen Samaritano Seniors Home. Ask God to grant strength\, patience\, and compassion to caregivers\, and comfort\, dignity\, and peace to each resident. Pray for good health\, emotional encouragement\, and meaningful connection in daily life. May this home be filled with Christ’s presence\, protection\, and practical provision for every need. \n\nCanada Day Emphasis\nPlease pray for Canada! Let’s thank God for the great country that we are privileged to be a part of. Let’s pray for our leaders\, in all areas of government (national\, provincial\, civic\, etc) that God would grant them wisdom to lead us well.
