SUMMARY:Part 4 - Praying for the Leaders of Tomorrow
DESCRIPTION:“The harvest is great\, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” (Luke 10:2) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \nLet us pray for all our ServeBeyond/ServeCanada Missionaries:\nOlivier Niyongabire – Global Outreach Evangelism School (G.O.E.S) \nPraise our Lord Jesus. I am thankful for what God has done in our ministry over the past month. We had our training\, and 96 disciple-makers attended and were trained in Gospel evangelism and winning people to Christ. This led them to reach out to new communities\, and we are hopeful that many souls will be saved and brought to the kingdom of God through these men and women of God. Secondly\, I am happy to share that during our outreach in homes that the Gospel has not reached\, 361 people gave their lives to Christ\, and among these were 98 Muslim people who denounced their faith and turned to Jesus. This was the peak of our ministry last month. However\, we want to ask you to join us as we pray for both DRC and Uganda\, where the outbreak of Ebola is growing strong\, and this is where our ministry is based. Pray that the spread can stop and also that the sick be saved so that we can resume normal ministry. \n\nStephen & Jane Wheeler – Montréal \nWe continue as “Post Retirement Staff” with EFCA ReachGlobal. After 37 years in Canada and needing a warmer climate for health reasons\, we’ll be moving south. Beginning with the pandemic\, much of our ministry has been online\, and those works will continue. Pray for our move to Tennessee\, where we’ll be closer to family. Pray also for our continued ministry in Canada and all of North America. \n\nSammy Kabyemera – Uganda \nPlease pray for the Democratic Republic of Congo\, where many Kyaka refugees come from\, as Ebola continues to claim lives and no cure is yet found. Pray for God’s mercy\, protection\, and healing over the refugee camps. Ask the Lord to strengthen our field team for fruitful discipleship and spiritual growth. Pray also for provision and blessing for Sammy’s mission trip in November this year. \n\nJoy – Creative Access Country \nPlease pray for the fundraising I am doing for Egypt. It is for needed school supplies that I plan on handing out in August. Please pray for the poor families in Egypt who are suffering a lot. \n\nHelen Blackburn – Bolivia \nI praise the Lord for the many years He has given me on the foreign mission field. I first left Canada in 1975. I will miss them all out in Bolivia! My retirement from the EFCC became official at the end of June. Thank you for your many prayers and support. \n\nJon and Laura Prins – Japan \nPray for our summer English VBS July 18-24. We have a team coming to help in four churches and a camp. Our landlord has announced that he will not be renewing our lease when it expires in 3 years from now. Pray for wisdom. We need a Japanese pastor and a full-time English pastor\, but we don’t have the finances for a salary. We have a full-time Mandarin Chinese pastor and a Cantonese worker. Pray for a team that can work together well. \n\nScott & Karen Wind Vandenberg – Mexico \nPlease pray for the residents and staff of El Buen Samaritano Seniors Home. Ask God to grant strength\, patience\, and compassion to caregivers\, and comfort\, dignity\, and peace to each resident. Pray for good health\, emotional encouragement\, and meaningful connection in daily life. May this home be filled with Christ’s presence\, protection\, and practical provision for every need. \n\nCanada Day Emphasis\nPlease pray for Canada! Let’s thank God for the great country that we are privileged to be a part of. Let’s pray for our leaders\, in all areas of government (national\, provincial\, civic\, etc) that God would grant them wisdom to lead us well.

SUMMARY:Part 4 - Salt & Light
DESCRIPTION:“You are the salt of the earth…You are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:13\,14) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \nLet us pray for all our ServeBeyond/ServeCanada Missionaries:\nOlivier Niyongabire – Global Outreach Evangelism Strategies (G.O.E.S) \nDear friends and ministry partners\, praise the Lord Jesus Christ for His love and grace upon us all. I want to thank everyone who has been praying for the ministry. God has surely answered prayers\, and we have seen a harvest of 134 people who came to Christ in the last outreach. We now again invite you to pray with us for two things: one is our upcoming training of disciple makers and the outreach that will follow in the refugee camp of Kyaka in Uganda; also\, we are trusting God to raise more donors for the ministry because we do not have enough donations to cover our Ministry. \n\nScott & Karen Wind Vandenberg – Mexico \nPlease pray for Buen Samaritano as we face a significant financial need. Our available funds have been depleted\, and at this point we do not have enough to send the full amount needed to pay our faithful staff who care for the residents each day. We are deeply grateful for their commitment. Please pray for God’s provision\, trusting with us that He knows the need and will provide in His way and timing. \n\nRobert & Leslee Oudman – Nicaragua \nWe’ve had a few reminders lately about the risks and challenges of navigating the roads in Nicaragua. Please pray for safety for all of us as we mobilize to share the Good News in so many places. Thank God for his protection each and every day! \n\nStephen & Jane Wheeler – Montréal \nPlease pray for the upcoming online trainings for users of The Journey\, a lingo-free walk through the Bible and encounter with the Gospel message. Praise for our safe move to Nashville. Pray as we settle in and continue ministry online in Montreal and elsewhere in North America. \n\nSammy Kabyemera – Uganda \nPlease pray for Sammy as he prepares for the Uganda mission trip at the end of September\, that many people will hear God’s Word\, receive salvation\, and grow in faith. Pray for financial provision for the ministry\, for discipleship training for churches and leaders\, and for opportunities to reach Muslim communities and students in schools. Pray also for refugees to receive food and the hope of the Gospel\, and for orphans to be provided with clothing and care. Finally\, pray for healing\, strength\, and comfort for those affected by Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. \n\nJoy – Creative Access Country \nPlease pray as we fundraise for school supplies that end on September 26. Pray for the people in Egypt\, as the situation is really hard. \n\nSiavosh & Sophia – Ontario \nWe have a group of Iranian people ready for baptism. Pray as we run a final teaching seminar before their baptism and do this blessed service for them. Please pray for us as we prepare. \n\nL & D – Creative Access Country \nPlease pray for more funding for our ministry\, as we need more funding in order to keep supporting our ministry. Pray that God would provide either a church or a person to donate regularly. Pray for the growth of our Chinese Ministry; specifically\, the discipleship program that has the potential to really strengthen their spiritual life. We are planning to also reach out to the local Japanese. Pray that more Japanese moms and kids will come to our MomCo ministry\, and for the start of this new ministry to reach Japanese.
