SUMMARY:Part 2 - Praying the Lord's Prayer
DESCRIPTION:“Jesus said\, This is how you should pray: Father\, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. Give us each day the food we need\, and forgive us our sins\, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation. ” (Luke 11:2-4 NLT) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \n\nConfession\nMay your Kingdom come…forgive us our sins. \n“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” (James 5:16) \nThe human condition of alienation from God and his ways has led to all kinds of suffering in our world. Here are some ways that we can both confess our won shortfalls and pray into the Kingdom of God coming on earth as it is in heaven. \n\nReflection \nThis month\, let’s take stock of our lives\, be grateful for forgiveness\, and come to God in confession. \n\nUkraine \nLet’s continue to uphold our brothers and sisters who are suffering in the midst of war. Pray that God’s justice and peace would come to this country. \n\nTearFund Canada \nThe EFCC’s official relief and development partner is TearFund Canada. They are partnering with local churches to bring a holistic gospel presence into a number of developing countries. \n\nIran \nMany of us are deeply troubled by the war that is going on in Iran. Pray for our brothers and sisters who have faced both persecution for their faith and now imminent bloodshed and terror. The fastest growing segment of the church exists in Iran. Pray that this country would experience God’s gift of peace. \n\nFree Church of Lebanon Partnership \nThe EFCC has a partnership with the Free Church in Lebanon which is able to reach into several Islamic countries in ways that most of us in the west are incapable of doing. Pray for the leaders of FEAL (Free Evangelical Association of Lebanon) Joseph Najem and Daniel Saab\, as they spread the Good News of Jesus in these days of turmoil and conflict.

SUMMARY:Part 3 - Praying the Lord's Prayer
DESCRIPTION:“Jesus said\, This is how you should pray: Father\, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. Give us each day the food we need\, and forgive us our sins\, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation. ” (Luke 11:2-4 NLT) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \n\nRequests\nGive us each day the food we need. \n“Tell God what you need\, and thank Him for all he has done.” (Philippians 4:6) \n\nEFCC Conference \nAs we prepare to gather together as the Free Church family next month\, let’s spend time aligning our hearts with God’s\, and desiring what he wants for our Free Church association. Pray that this will be a time of refreshment and renewal for all who come. Please also pray for our speaker\, Matthew St. John\, as he leads the main sessions\, and for all our workshop speakers\, as well as the business session. \n\nChurches without Pastors \nAcross the EFCC\, there are many churches without pastors. Let us pray that these churches find pastors that the Lord can use to shepherd their flock for His glory and their good. \n\nEvangelical Free Church of the Philippines \nPray for the preparations being made for the upcoming National Annual Conference. This will be held on May 12-15\, 2026 in Tacloban City\, Leyte. We have more delegates registered than ever before. Pray for the 1 million pesos that the leaders need to raise to cover the subsidy for the delegates who are in need of help. Pray for the powerful demonstration of God’s presence through the messages and speakers. Pray God will use Rev. Kevin Kompelien\, the main speaker\, and other servants of God who will deliver God’s message. Pray for the completion of Vision 200 by 2026. This is to plant 200 churches in four years. We need to have 50 more to complete the vision. The stats are not as important as the community of believers worshipping our God and making disciples behind the numbers. Pray God will raise godly leaders who will set good examples for EFCP constituents. \n\nMental Health Awareness \nPray for the health of those in the EFCC family. Pray that God would grow them spiritually. Pray too for the mental health of our EFCC family members. We live in a world that can eat away at our mental health quite quickly. Pray for those who are struggling with their physical and mental health.

DESCRIPTION:“The harvest is great\, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” (Luke 10:2) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \nLet us pray for all our ServeBeyond/ServeCanada Missionaries:\nOlivier Niyongabire – Global Outreach Evangelism School (G.O.E.S) \nPraise our Lord Jesus. I am thankful for what God has done in our ministry over the past month. We had our training\, and 96 disciple-makers attended and were trained in Gospel evangelism and winning people to Christ. This led them to reach out to new communities\, and we are hopeful that many souls will be saved and brought to the kingdom of God through these men and women of God. Secondly\, I am happy to share that during our outreach in homes that the Gospel has not reached\, 361 people gave their lives to Christ\, and among these were 98 Muslim people who denounced their faith and turned to Jesus. This was the peak of our ministry last month. However\, we want to ask you to join us as we pray for both DRC and Uganda\, where the outbreak of Ebola is growing strong\, and this is where our ministry is based. Pray that the spread can stop and also that the sick be saved so that we can resume normal ministry. \n\nStephen & Jane Wheeler – Montréal \nWe continue as “Post Retirement Staff” with EFCA ReachGlobal. After 37 years in Canada and needing a warmer climate for health reasons\, we’ll be moving south. Beginning with the pandemic\, much of our ministry has been online\, and those works will continue. Pray for our move to Tennessee\, where we’ll be closer to family. Pray also for our continued ministry in Canada and all of North America. \n\nSammy Kabyemera – Uganda \nPlease pray for the Democratic Republic of Congo\, where many Kyaka refugees come from\, as Ebola continues to claim lives and no cure is yet found. Pray for God’s mercy\, protection\, and healing over the refugee camps. Ask the Lord to strengthen our field team for fruitful discipleship and spiritual growth. Pray also for provision and blessing for Sammy’s mission trip in November this year. \n\nJoy – Creative Access Country \nPlease pray for the fundraising I am doing for Egypt. It is for needed school supplies that I plan on handing out in August. Please pray for the poor families in Egypt who are suffering a lot. \n\nHelen Blackburn – Bolivia \nI praise the Lord for the many years He has given me on the foreign mission field. I first left Canada in 1975. I will miss them all out in Bolivia! My retirement from the EFCC became official at the end of June. Thank you for your many prayers and support. \n\nJon and Laura Prins – Japan \nPray for our summer English VBS July 18-24. We have a team coming to help in four churches and a camp. Our landlord has announced that he will not be renewing our lease when it expires in 3 years from now. Pray for wisdom. We need a Japanese pastor and a full-time English pastor\, but we don’t have the finances for a salary. We have a full-time Mandarin Chinese pastor and a Cantonese worker. Pray for a team that can work together well. \n\nScott & Karen Wind Vandenberg – Mexico \nPlease pray for the residents and staff of El Buen Samaritano Seniors Home. Ask God to grant strength\, patience\, and compassion to caregivers\, and comfort\, dignity\, and peace to each resident. Pray for good health\, emotional encouragement\, and meaningful connection in daily life. May this home be filled with Christ’s presence\, protection\, and practical provision for every need. \n\nCanada Day Emphasis\nPlease pray for Canada! Let’s thank God for the great country that we are privileged to be a part of. SUMMARY:Part 1 - Salt & Light

SUMMARY:Part 4 - Salt & Light
DESCRIPTION:“You are the salt of the earth…You are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:13\,14) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \nLet us pray for all our ServeBeyond/ServeCanada Missionaries:\nOlivier Niyongabire – Global Outreach Evangelism Strategies (G.O.E.S) \nDear friends and ministry partners\, praise the Lord Jesus Christ for His love and grace upon us all. I want to thank everyone who has been praying for the ministry. God has surely answered prayers\, and we have seen a harvest of 134 people who came to Christ in the last outreach. We now again invite you to pray with us for two things: one is our upcoming training of disciple makers and the outreach that will follow in the refugee camp of Kyaka in Uganda; also\, we are trusting God to raise more donors for the ministry because we do not have enough donations to cover our Ministry. \n\nScott & Karen Wind Vandenberg – Mexico \nPlease pray for Buen Samaritano as we face a significant financial need. Our available funds have been depleted\, and at this point we do not have enough to send the full amount needed to pay our faithful staff who care for the residents each day. We are deeply grateful for their commitment. Please pray for God’s provision\, trusting with us that He knows the need and will provide in His way and timing. \n\nRobert & Leslee Oudman – Nicaragua \nWe’ve had a few reminders lately about the risks and challenges of navigating the roads in Nicaragua. Please pray for safety for all of us as we mobilize to share the Good News in so many places. Thank God for his protection each and every day! \n\nStephen & Jane Wheeler – Montréal \nPlease pray for the upcoming online trainings for users of The Journey\, a lingo-free walk through the Bible and encounter with the Gospel message. Praise for our safe move to Nashville. Pray as we settle in and continue ministry online in Montreal and elsewhere in North America. \n\nSammy Kabyemera – Uganda \nPlease pray for Sammy as he prepares for the Uganda mission trip at the end of September\, that many people will hear God’s Word\, receive salvation\, and grow in faith. Pray for financial provision for the ministry\, for discipleship training for churches and leaders\, and for opportunities to reach Muslim communities and students in schools. Pray also for refugees to receive food and the hope of the Gospel\, and for orphans to be provided with clothing and care. Finally\, pray for healing\, strength\, and comfort for those affected by Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. \n\nJoy – Creative Access Country \nPlease pray as we fundraise for school supplies that end on September 26. Pray for the people in Egypt\, as the situation is really hard. \n\nSiavosh & Sophia – Ontario \nWe have a group of Iranian people ready for baptism. Pray as we run a final teaching seminar before their baptism and do this blessed service for them. Please pray for us as we prepare. \n\nL & D – Creative Access Country \nPlease pray for more funding for our ministry\, as we need more funding in order to keep supporting our ministry. Pray that God would provide either a church or a person to donate regularly. Pray for the growth of our Chinese Ministry; specifically\, the discipleship program that has the potential to really strengthen their spiritual life. We are planning to also reach out to the local Japanese. Pray that more Japanese moms and kids will come to our MomCo ministry\, and for the start of this new ministry to reach Japanese.

They will host our conference as we welcome them into full membership. This also means that we will no longer have any active church plants. Our hope and prayer is that God will work through the district to plant many more churches. \n\nTim Stewart – PD Superintendent\nThank you for your prayers for the Stewarts – they have enjoyed visiting different churches together\, and the kids have settled in well to their new community. Please pray for our conference this month in Osler\, SK – on the theme of “Raising up Leaders for the Harvest!” \n\nDan Carlaw – CPD Superintendent\nOur annual CPD Conference will be hosted at Prince George EFC\, October 1–4. To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \nLet us pray for all our ServeBeyond/ServeCanada Missionaries:\nSammy Kabyemera – Uganda\nAs Sammy prepares to leave for Uganda in October to serve in mission work\, please pray for safety and good health; pray that many people will hear God’s Word\, open their hearts\, and receive salvation. Pray for faithful donors to help support the ministry. Pray that refugee families find hope; pray that church leaders accept the true doctrine of the Bible and focus on discipleship. Also\, pray that Muslim communities will encounter Christ and respond to the Gospel. \n\nScott & Karen Wind Vandenberg – Mexico\nPlease pray for Buen Samaritano as we face a significant financial need. Please pray for God’s provision\, trusting with us that He knows the need and will provide in His way and timing. \n\nStephen & Jane Wheeler – Montréal\nPray for alertness to new outreach opportunities in Nashville while we continue existing Canadian ministries online and by telephone. Pray for what seems like an endless string of administrative tasks related to our move from Montreal to Nashville. \n\nEFCP: Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines\nContinue to pray for President Samuel Aberia as he guides and coordinates the work of the 170 Free Churches in seven different regions. Pray for more workers to lead the several new church plants. \n\nJoy – Creative Access Country\nPraise the Lord for the fundraising for the school supplies for Egypt; I reached my goal. Please pray for the Christmas fundraising that I will start in October as the need is big. And please keep praying for the poor people in Egypt. \n\nLina and David Cheng – Japan\nPlease pray the Lord would provide for our Ministry Expense Fund in Japan. And pray for mission field work in Haiti\, where we need financial support to feed the orphans every month\, and to complete the project of complex building construction. The purpose of the building is to: train new pastors and local pastors\, a library center for students\, for distributing food\, water\, and clothing\, a conference center\, and a guesthouse for missionaries. We have already completed 30% of the construction. This project is located in Cap-Haïtien\, on the north side of Haiti. Now\, we are in the process to raise funds to complete this project for Haitian churches. Pray for God to open the hearts of friends and churches to give to this cause. \n\nDan Byrne – Ottawa Evangelism Partnership\nPlease pray for Noemi and Keiden as they return to school\, and for Aiko as she considers her next steps after graduating from Concordia. DESCRIPTION:“He (Christ) existed before anything else\, and he holds all creation together….For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ\, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. This includes you….” (Colossians 1:17\, 19-21) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \nLet us pray for all our ServeBeyond/ServeCanada Missionaries:\nSammy Kabyemera – Uganda \nSammy’s mission trip to Uganda was delayed until November due to an Ebola case involving a Congolese individual who travelled through Uganda to Kenya\, where he later died. After the 21-day incubation period and for safety measures\, Sammy hopes to proceed with the trip. Please pray for the situation to improve and for God to make a way for Sammy. If things don’t go well\, Sammy plans to send food to refugees and clothing for discipleship conferences in February 2027\, or even sooner. \n\nStephen & Jane Wheeler – Montréal \nPlease pray for God’s guidance and our participation in the mid-November gathering of “The Journey.” And please pray for our Thursday evening meetings as we continue our walk through the book of Genesis. \n\nJoy – Creative Access Country \nPlease pray for the fundraising we are doing for Christmas; this year the demand is high. Please also be continually praying for those in need in Egypt. \n\nJulsain Blanc – Haiti \nFirst\, we would like to thank God for all the blessings to the church in Montreal and the mission field in Haiti. Glory to God for all He has done for us. Pray for the next mission trip to Haiti in December. The purpose is to graduate 345 students from our Bible College in Haiti and visit our orphanages to share the love and feed the orphans. Pray for people’s hearts to be open to giving funds to the cause. \n\nLina and David – Japan \nPray for the provision of our Ministry Expense Fund. Pray for our visa renewal. Currently\, our visa is 1 year only; we need to renew every year\, and the process is complicated and expensive. We hope to get a longer-term visa of 3 or 5 years. Pray also for our faith and perseverance\, even if we can not see the fruit of the outreach program. \n\nChildren’s Shelter of Cebu – Philippines \nWildfires in Indonesia have blanketed SE Asia in a thick haze and resulted in the closure of schools and government offices. Our own school was forced to close for several days last week by order of the city government due to the smoke. Please pray that the situation with the fires and smoke will improve. One of our older residents\, a girl who is attending college\, contracted dengue and is in the hospital. Please pray for swift recovery and complete healing. \n\nDan Byrne – Ottawa Evangelism Partnership \nPlease pray for Dan as he takes on a new Power to Change leadership role\, helping ministries partner more effectively with local churches. Pray for Connecting Streams as we expand into low-income communities and refugee homes\, and for an upcoming Ottawa summit bringing church and parachurch leaders together. Pray also for Keiden and Aiko as they discern their post-university futures. \n\nScott & Karen Wind Vandenberg – Mexico \nWe praise God for His continued provision for El Buen Samaritano Seniors’ Home in Mexico. Despite ongoing financial challenges\, we have been able to meet our payroll obligations each month. We are also grateful that the home came through Tropical Storm Rachel with only minor damage. Please pray that God would open new avenues of financial support\, as we currently have no reserves to draw upon. \n\nEvangelical Free Church of the Philippines \nPray for President Ariel C. Joules as he gives leadership to over 250 churches in the Philippines. \n\nEvangelical Theological College of the Philippines \nPraise God for the completion of four generations of successful theological education and ministry. Pray that this celebration will be a very successful and meaningful time together. Pray for wisdom and guidance for President Gagutan as he gives leadership to the College.
