SUMMARY:Part 3 - Prayer: An Act of Remembrance
DESCRIPTION:“Every time I think of you\, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray\, I make my requests for all of you with joy\, for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.” (Philippians 1:3-5) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \nLet us pray for our ServeCanada/ServeBeyond Missionaries & Agents:\nSammy Kabyemera – Uganda\nWe kindly ask for your prayers for Sammy’s upcoming mission among refugee communities. By God’s grace\, the plan includes: two days of gospel outreach to 3\,000 people\, food distribution to families in need\, Christmas clothing gifts for orphans\, school and Muslim community outreach\, media evangelism\, and discipleship training for local leaders. The “MIL Project\,” a growing sustainability effort in refugee camps\, also needs prayer for open doors. Please pray for strength\, wisdom\, protection for Sammy and the team\, and for generous provision. Thank you for standing with us in prayer. Your partnership—both spiritual and practical—means more than words can express. \n\nHelen Blackburn – Bolivia\nPraise the Lord for the prayers and support for our work with the kids at the Support Centre in Tarija and the boys at the home in the country. Please continue praying for Heather and our national team. Bolivia faces another national election and ongoing fuel shortages. Pray for the kids to grow in obedience and focus on schoolwork— especially Alvaro and Berlinda\, who struggle with lying. I plan to fly to Bolivia on December 3rd\, arriving in Tarija by the 5th\, and hope to be back in Canada by May 9th\, 2026. Please pray for the sale of my house and property in Bolivia\, and for the right family to continue the work at the Boys Home. Thank you and God bless! \n\nPaul Yang – Eswatini Medical Partnership\nPlease pray that we can quickly fill the positions of the two management members who retired at the end of last year. With these positions vacant for over nine months\, other management members are facing an overwhelming workload. This issue has led to internal conflict. Please pray that it resolves soon. \n\nRobert & Leslee Oudman – Nicaragua\nFor Nicaragua\, we are glad for God’s provision of steady rains for a new planting season! May God be praised and honoured as we toil the land toward another harvest. Pray for our church Casa de Mi Padre as we investigate new sites for our church home in Diriamba. \n\nJoy – Creative Access Country\nI am now in Egypt\, please pray for me to reach my goals and help the needy people as much as I can while I am here. Also\, please pray that I continue in good health so I can do all the work set before me. \n\nStephen & Jane Wheeler – Montréal\nPlease pray for the two rounds of Bible Journey trainings beginning mid- November and finishing mid-December. Please pray for our Thursday evening small group as we continue our exploration of Genesis. \n\nNorm & Michelle Smith – Hungary\nPlease pray for the Deaf Women’s Fellowship on October 25 in our condo building—pray for a good turnout\, healing for those who’ve been ill\, and encouragement as they begin a new Bible study on faithful women of the Old Testament. Pray for Michelle as she continues supporting her Deaf middle school student\, and for Norm as he wraps up work with the Europe Resource Team. He’ll have a final meeting with his ReachGlobal team soon—a time to say farewell after 30+ years of service. As Norm and Michelle prepare to retire at the end of December\, pray for strength\, wisdom\, and grace to finish well\, with energy and patience through the many year-end details. \n\nArvid Olson – ETCP Canadian Ambassador\nPlease pray for the safety of all Evangelical Theological College of the Philippines (ETCP) faculty\, staff\, and students as aftershocks from the Cebu earthquake continue. Pray for evangelism students as they go out each Tuesday morning\, and for all students returning to class on November 2 for the second semester. Lift up the need for scholarship donations and resources to repair earthquake damage. Pray also for God’s blessing on ETCP’s 39th Foundation Day\, November 26–28\, 2025\, themed “Journey of Faith: Trusting God Today.”
