SUMMARY:Part 1 - Praying the Lord's Prayer
DESCRIPTION:“Jesus said\, This is how you should pray: Father\, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. Give us each day the food we need\, and forgive us our sins\, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation. ” (Luke 11:2-4 NLT) \n\nWe are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro\, click here. \n\nAdoration\nFather\, may your name be kept holy. \n“Holy\, holy\, holy\, is the Lord God Almighty. The whole earth is filled with his glory!” (Isaiah 6:3) \nAs we contemplate the holiness of God this month\, let’s take some time to praise and thank him for who he is and what he does. As we engage with God’s greatness and glory\, here are a few things we can be grateful for and pray about within the EFCC. \n\nThe Character of God \nWe are in awe of the goodness\, greatness\, faithfulness\, and lovingkindness of our God. Take some time to praise him this month \n\nOur local EFCC Churches \nWe all belong to local bodies that help to grow and nurture us. Let’s thank God for our brothers and sisters who fellowship with us and pray that the glory of God would flow out of our churches and into our world. \n\nEFCC President Shaun Wick \nLet’s take time to thank God for the gift that Shaun is to our Free Church family. Continue to pray for him and his team at the EFCC Home Office. \n\nMissionaries \nThe EFCC has numerous missionaries and projects\, both here in Canada and around the world\, that we can be grateful for\, and uphold in prayer. \n\nPartnerships with Bible Colleges \nPrairie College and Steinbach Bible College are two schools that are working in partnership with the EFCC to help grow our pipeline of leaders for the future. \n\nCAF Chaplains \nWe are deeply grateful that God has called people from within the EFCC to serve him with our Canadian Armed Forces. Continue to uphold Chris Willis (Kingston)\, Peter Han (Esquimalt)\, and Phil Sung (Halifax)\, as they carry out this unique ministry. \nChurch Plants/Planters \nWe are deeply grateful for the gift of new life\, and new churches. \n\nAll The Nations (Wembley) – Dwight Munn\nIranian Church of Newmarket   – Siavosh\nJust Church (Scarborough) – Tim Quek\nSonflower (Burnaby) – David Hong\nWayside Crossing (Osoyoos) – Dan Williams\nMonterey Park (Calgary) – Amir Younas\nCompass Community (Scarborough) – Kelvin Fung\n\n\nDistrict Superintendents \nEvery one of our EFCC Districts is served by godly and gifted men who deeply desire to see our EFCC churches to be healthy and thriving. \n\nDan Carlaw – Canadian Pacific District\nMarvin Penner – Alberta Parkland District\nRichard Gilbert – Central District\nGeorge Budd (Interim) – Prairie District\nTim Stewart (Incoming) – Prairie District\nEvans Hundermark – Lower Pacific District
