Week 3 – Restoring Prayer

Saturday, March 18 - Friday, March 24

Prayer guide

Joel & Ingrid Chiri: Paraguay
Praise to see so many people profess Jesus Christ as Saviour and get baptized. Their changed lives are inspiring. Praise that Ingrid feels much better. Continue to pray for her recovery as she is still tired and weak. Pray as our ministry expands into new areas: Facundo in the isolated river communities and Randolf in the City of Itá. Both area outreaches are doing well but need prayer.

Sammy Kabyemera: Africa
Pray for my Mission trip with a new team from Richmond EFC that is going May 10-24. Pray for good preparation spiritually, physically, and financially as it will be my first time travelling with the team to Africa. Many refugees from Congo have entered Kyaka refugee camp. Pray that they find peace; that they would quickly adjust to life as refugees and that they would find a bible-based family church for their spiritual nourishment and quick recovery. Pray for the literacy class teacher Mrs. Jeannette Kabaduku who has been sick. Pray God would bring people that will stand together with me financially and prayerfully to support the Uganda Mission Project. Pray for church leaders that they continue with the true gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. After the discipleship training the Lord has raised men and women who are carrying on with the ministry of teaching on the field. Pray for Mr. Nehemie Kasana and his team of disciple makers as they visit churches with true gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Helen Blackburn: Bolivia
Praise the Lord that my English classes and the Boys studies have all gotten off to a good start. I am thankful for health and strength and for the small church I now attend in San Andrés. Pray for Dorm Dad, Marcelo as he drives morning and night getting our young people to their classes. Pray for Heather as she needs new staff (ASAP) at the Support Centre and wisdom in accepting new children.

Marvin & Colleen Penner: APD Superintendent
The Alberta Parkland district is thankful for two new pastors. Pastor Paul Warnok is serving as transition pastor at the Highland Park EFC in New Norway and Pastor Payton Drobot is working bi-vocationalaly with the Elk Point church. Pray that they adjust quickly, and that God blesses their ministry. Continue to pray that God will provide pastors for High Level EFC and Onoway EFC. We also thank God for a matching grant from the city of Edmonton for Knox EFC. With this grant the city will match donations dollar for dollar towards repair of the roof and exterior of the church which is a designated historical sight in Edmonton. We are asking God to provide for some of our churches that are experiencing financial difficulties. We also pray that many will attend our annual Men’s retreat and Women’s retreat. We ask that God will bring our people together for healthy fellowship once again.
