Week 6 – The 2 Kingdoms of Christmas

Sunday, January 5 @ 12:00 am - Saturday, January 11 @ 11:59 pm PST

december january prayer guide

Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.” King Herod was deeply disturbed when he heard this, as was everyone in Jerusalem. He called a meeting of the leading priests and teachers of religious law and asked, “Where is the Messiah supposed to be born?” “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they said, “for this is what the prophet wrote: And you, O Bethlehem in the land of Judah, are not least among the ruling cities of Judah for a ruler will come from you who will be the shepherd for my people Israel.” (Matthew 2:1-6)

Robert & Leslee Oudman – Nicaragua

We praise God for opportunities to share His love with those around us. Today in particular it’s seniors – the sometimes forgotten ones who deserve love, care, and the opportunity to hear the Gospel. May the God of love shine through us!

K&L – Europe

Our CAC couple in Eastern Europe requests prayer as they come back to Canada for medical reasons, knee surgery is scheduled for Jan 15.  Be praying as they seek to get all the necessary documents in place to move countries. Also be praying for Ukraine and our pastors, workers, and missionaries who serve there faithfully under difficult circumstances. Pray the heat and power will stay on in Ukraine during the cold winter.

Larry & Diane Willems – Thailand

Thank the Lord for a good number of people coming to the Lord in 3 villages. One village had no Christians previously. Pray as we continue to disciple these groups to fulfill the Great Commission. Thank the Lord for the team from Johnston Heights church who came for this training.

Daryl & Molly Porter – Ukraine

As the winter season comes, please remember to pray for our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. This will be the toughest winter yet during this war. Why? Because so much of the infrastructure has been destroyed, there will be long periods of no heat each day in Ukraine during these long cold winter months. Ministry goes on. Church services go on but in the cold. Please pray for relief for our dear friends.
