“Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.” King Herod was deeply disturbed when he heard this, as was everyone in Jerusalem. He called a meeting of the leading priests and teachers of religious law and asked, “Where is the Messiah supposed to be born?” “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they said, “for this is what the prophet wrote: And you, O Bethlehem in the land of Judah, are not least among the ruling cities of Judah for a ruler will come from you who will be the shepherd for my people Israel.” (Matthew 2:1-6)

TMC will hold a children’s Christmas event on 12/8, caroling in the park on 12/15 and a Christmas party and baptism on 12/22. Pray that God will bless these outreaches. Pray for a Japanese pastor/missionary for TMC and a new English teacher for KEEP. Pray for Y-san, a young mom who is attending our Mom and children’s group, to give her life to Christ.

Pray for a productive time in Three Hills as I speak in chapel and visit donors. Pray for meaningful opportunities for our churches and missionaries to share Jesus during Christmas celebrations.
Dan Carlaw – CPD Superintendent
Please pray for our CPD board as we discern the best way to steward the district’s finances in a season when costs are rising faster than revenue. Pray for our district churches as they reach out to their communities this Advent season with the message of Emmanuel – God with us.
Marvin Penner – Alberta Parkland District Superintendent
We, in the APD are putting up Christmas decorations, practicing Sunday School Christmas Programs, and planning banquets. Pray that God will open the doors to many opportunities to share the good news of Jesus coming. During the holidays it is particularly difficult for those churches without a pastor (High Level, Bon Accord, Meeting Creek, Clairmont, Wainwright).
