Part 4 – Pray for Canada

Wednesday, August 6 @ 12:00 am - Sunday, August 17 @ 11:59 pm PDT

july august prayer guide

I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. 21I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.” (John 17:20-21)

We are now doing video intros for the Prayer Guide! To watch this month’s Prayer intro, click here.

Let us pray for all our ServeCanada & ServeBeyond Missionaries:

Sammy Kabyemera – Uganda

Sammy is still in Uganda. God’s timing is perfect—food and clothing reached vulnerable refugees just as local government assistance was withdrawn. Sixteen people were baptized from our last outreach! Students are coming to Christ, and church leaders are repenting and embracing sound doctrine. Please pray that these new believers remain strong in their faith. Pray also for continued support for the refugees, healing from my neck pain, and for the church and my family in Vancouver.

Dan Byrne – Ottawa Evangelism Partnership

Please pray for two brothers who have recently been baptized that they may be well grounded in the faith. Also, please pray for healing for a woman in our church who has been stricken by many difficulties over the past year and is facing surgery to remove a tumour from her head. Finally, pray for open doors with churches as we continue an initiative to mobilize teams for Long-Term Care and Refugee Homes.

Scott & Karen Wind Vandenberg – Mexico

As always funds are an issue for the home as we struggle to keep up with wage and expense increases – please pray for God to have His testimony through provision for the seniors’ home in Baja, Mexico! As well as strength and confidence for the staff and directors, and peace and a sense of love and belonging for our residents.

Paul Yang – Eswatini Medical Partnership

Please pray for the management of Eswatini Medical Christian University (EMCU), its new council and the Eswatini Government (Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health) to work together to run EMCU well.

Helen Blackburn – Bolivia

Thankful for safe travels back to Canada. I will be in Canada for the next 6 months. Pray that my time will be fruitful. I am also thankful for those who pray and support me and our work in Bolivia. Heather has transferred to SIMCanada. She will meet with SIM in North Carolina in July and visit some supporters in Wisconsin. Pray for our health. Please pray for our Boys as they work and study, and for the children who come to the Support Centre. José, age 14, Ángel, 12, Gabriel, 9, and Luciana, 7, are newcomers. Their mother has abandoned them. Our special needs young man accepted Christ in May while studying with our psychologist, Sonia, the story about Jesús and Nicodemus. Álvaro understood!  Praise the Lord!

Norm & Michelle Smith – Hungary

Pray for safe travels to Europe for our last conference with over 240 people attending. Pray for Hungarian partners and the Deaf Church in Budapest. Pray for a deaf lady in our Deaf Women’s Fellowship who has stage 4 cancer. Praise for Michelle having a great school year in Middle School, working with deaf students. Praise for the great working relationship Norm has working with his Hungarian point-person, Claudia.

Joy – Creative Access Country

Please pray for my trip to Egypt in September and also for the Sudanese refugees. They need help financially and emotionally. Pray that my health will be good during my trip to Egypt.
